JBS says it’s selling its cattle feedlot in Alberta, Canada for about $40-million dollars. It’s part of the Brazilian company’s divestment plan to reduce debt following its bribery scandal settlement.
JBS Food Canada says it will sell Lakeside Feeders and adjacent farmland to MCF Holdings, a subsidiary of Nilsson Brothers, a livestock ag business in Alberta.
Last month, JBS-SA said it was selling Five Rivers Cattle Feeding, based in Colorado, the largest cattle feeder in the U.S.
