The American Dairy Association of Indiana’s 28th Annual Ice Cream Social has raised more than $6,500 for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Indiana.
Deb Osza tells Brownfield Indiana’s 1,000 dairy producers help make the state rank second in ice cream production.
She says the event is an opportunity to give back. “Our dairy farmers have always had a tradition of supporting youth and education,” she says. “That tradition goes back more than 100 years and we’re just continuing with that here today.”
Osza says while visitors were enjoying their ice cream sundaes, they learned more about how the dairy industry works.
