Wet weather and heavy downpours continue to damage Ohio crops. Critical cropland drainage networks have been unable to keep up and corn and soybean fields are inundated with water.
According to the latest weekly crop report 54 percent of the corn is rated good to excellent and 34 percent of the crop is silking. Soybeans are rated 50 percent good to excellent.
Some winter wheat is still standing as fields are too wet to harvest, but 87 percent of the crop has been harvested.
