BASF says it’s writing a Special Local Need Label for the use of that company’s dicamba product, Engenia in Missouri. State Agriculture Director Chris Chinn tells Brownfield Ag News her department is collaborating with BASF, as well as Monsanto and DuPont – each with dicamba-based products – to develop the special labels.
“We are going to be working very closely with them and University of Missouri to make sure the label is something that farmers can live with, that they can work with and still have a very effective tool in their hand to fight weed pressure,” said Chinn.
