The National Biodiesel Board is disappointed with the EPA’s proposed RFS volumes for biomass-based diesel.
The board’s vice president for federal affairs, Anne Steckel, calls it a missed opportunity for biodiesel which reduces costs at the pump and provides economic benefits BUT she says there’s time for improvement, “We’re going to work very closely with the administration, in the next couple of months through this proposal period, before the rule becomes final to urge them to raise the volumes so fuels like biodiesel can continue to grow.”
Steckel says EPA ‘flat-lined’ volume growth for 2019 and reduced it for 2018.
