The U.S. corn condition rating improved slightly over the past week. It was another varied week of weather, with generally better conditions in the eastern Midwest than in western areas.
68% of U.S. corn is in good to excellent condition, up 1% on the week, and 10% of the crop is silking, a little bit behind the five year average of 13%.
64% of U.S. beans are in rated good to excellent, down 2%, with 98% of the crop emerged and 18% blooming, both slightly faster than their respective averages of 95% and 17%.
