DuPont Pioneer says it has gained exclusive rights to the ERS Genomics patent covering CRISPR-Cas technology “for all agricultural uses and applications in plants.”
DuPont says its goal is to collaborate with public and private firms around the world to apply the genome editing technology to a “wide set of crops.”
This licensing agreement is the latest for DuPont where CRISPR-cas is concerned. It has licensing agreements with Caribou Biosciences of California and Vilnius University in Lithuania.
