China represents a growing market for US beef

US Ambassador to China Terry Branstad says now that the Chinese market for US beef has reopened, he’s optimistic exports will continue to increase. “We already sell a lot of soybeans and a lot of pork,” he says. “But I think with the growing middle class I think beef is going to be a big hit.”
During an event in Beijing last week, where American prime rib was served at lunch, Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue had a message for beef producers back home.
