Soybeans were sharply higher on commercial and technical buying. The trade continued to digest last week’s USDA numbers, especially that smaller than expected acreage number, while watching the weather. Near term rain forecasts are mixed with warmer temperatures in parts of the region. Some of the recent longer term outlooks are also generally warm and dry. Soybean meal and oil followed beans higher, with meal picking up additional support from a new export sale.
