Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue will join U.S. Ambassador Terry Branstad in China this Friday and Saturday to celebrate the reopening of China to U.S. beef.
The first shipments of U.S. beef to China started last week – after and agreement was reached between the two countries and china’s 14-year ban was lifted.
The USDA says there will be a ceremonial cutting of Nebraska prime rib at the event. And, Perdue will meet with Chinese ag officials and visit a Chinese supermarket.
