Tyson Foods has launched a new initiative to improve the care of chickens on the farm and at its processing plants.
The initiative includes what Tyson calls “the most extensive third-party remote video auditing system” in the meat industry. Tyson says it has also added to its team of animal well-being specialists and is introducing a pilot project for controlled atmosphere stunning (CAS) at two of its poultry facilities this year.
