China’s agreement with the U.S. to reopen its doors to U.S. beef is seen as “a great day” by a leading official in one of the top cow-calf producing states in the nation.
“Being a beef producer and supporting that industry my entire life, it’s just, it’s great news seeing that ban after 14 years be lifted. There’s nothing but good things can happen out of that for the state of Missouri,” says Missouri Lieutenant Governor Mike Parson, “It’s a big deal that we open the borders up to China and expand because, needless to say Missouri’s a natural grounds for beef industry and for our farms, our small farms across this state.
