A researcher says growers managing giant ragweed need to be observant of adjacent habitat.
Dr. Emilie Regnier is an associate professor at Ohio State University and part of a team that surveyed certified crop advisors across the Corn Belt on how giant ragweed is distributed and spreads.
She tells Brownfield the data shows a close association between the weed and non-crop habitats.
