US, Canada, Mexico ag officials discuss NAFTA renegotiation

The three top agricultural officials from the United States, Canada, and Mexico say they remain committed to open and transparent trade as the countries prepare to renegotiate NAFTA.
The three leaders concluded their first trilateral agriculture meetings on Tuesday. Canadian Minister of Agriculture Lawrence MacAulay says the three countries aren’t just connected geographically, but also connected through trade.
Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue says the conversations this week set the tone for truth and trust as the three countries work on modernizing the decades-old free trade agreement.
