The President of the Michigan Soybean Promotion Committee says crop stands are faring well, but more rain is needed in the next week.
Laurie Isley tells Brownfield it’s been more than a week since the last rain event on her Lenawee County farm. “We had about a half an inch a little over a week ago and would really like to have a little bit more. We’re somewhat dry, but there are some areas in the county that have had a significant amount of rain—it’s been very spotty.” Isley says this week, they’re be focused on scouting for weed resistance and other crop issues arising from the dry conditions.
