An extension crops educator says rapid weed growth might require post-emergent herbicide.
Dave Nicolai with the University of Minnesota is observing increased weed pressure resulting from wet conditions this spring, followed by a sudden change to hot and dry weather.
He tells Brownfield if farmers decide to use a post, be sure to follow the label.
“Those soybeans will develop rapidly. You’ll get to R1 and R2, and some of these products will have to be discontinued at that point in time.
