Planting in Ohio close to wrapping up

A stretch of dry weather last week allowed Ohio farmers to get some replanting, fertilizer application, and hay cutting done. The USDA says corn and bean planting, and replanting, is just about wrapped up, but farmers in parts of the state are waiting for rain. Temperatures were cooler than normal and severe weather caused some damage in southern parts of the state.
96% of corn is planted and 88% has emerged, with half of the crop called good to excellent.
