The main item of business in cattle country on Monday is the distribution of this week’s showlists. Last week’s light to moderate trade took place mostly on Friday, with a few northern deals reported on Thursday. Dressed business ranged from 215.00 to 221.00, 2.00 to 4.00 higher than the previous week’s weighted average basis Nebraska. Southern live trade late on Friday was a $1.00 higher than the previous week at 137.00.
Boxed beef cutout values in the morning report are higher, choice beef is up 1.36 at 252.57, select is up .98 at 221.28.
