Except for a few isolated thunderstorms, it’s another hot and dry day across much of the Midwest. Many areas will again see temperatures in the 95 to 100 degree range.
On Sunday, it was 95 with a 20 mile per hour south wind on Wayne Humphreys’ farm near Columbus Junction in southeast Iowa.
“This corn that is in the V6 to V7 stage, which makes it almost knee-high, was curled up pretty good in the middle of the afternoon yesterday,” Humphreys says.
