Ethanol supporters are stepping up the pressure on Congress to allow year-round sales of E15.
Another step in the process will take place next week (June 14th) when the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee holds a hearing on legislation establishing a permanent waiver to Reid vapor pressure (RVP) requirements. Current law restricts the retail sale of E15 during the summer months, except for use in flex-fuel vehicles.
The Senate bill is sponsored by Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer.
