National Cattlemen’s Beef Association president Craig Uden says beef trade negotiations between the U.S. and China seem to be moving quickly.
“The trade team is actually over in China as we speak,” Uden says, “and what they’re doing is trying to kind of put the meat on the bones as far as some of the rules and regulations that are going to be in place—some of the testing and things like that, that kind of start to finalize the movement so we can open up beef into China.”
Uden says China is a great opportunity, but he says it’s important to take care of existing customers.
