The world’s largest pork industry-specific trade show gets underway today.
Ken Maschhoff, president of the National Pork Producers Council, says the pork industry is growing and he’s certain discussing ways to break down trade barriers will be top of mind. “You know – it’s more pork,” he says. “We’ve got expansion in the industry, we’ve got new plants coming on, and even though that domestic demand strong – the demand for international sales needs to continue.”
He tells Brownfield the World Pork Expo also provides great educational opportunities for pork producers.
