The main item of business in cattle country on Monday is the distribution of this week’s showlists. Last week’s light to moderate trade took place mostly on Thursday with live trade at 134.00 to 137.00, $4.00 to 6.00 higher than the previous week. Dressed business ranged from 214.00 to 216.00, $7.00 to 8.00 higher than the previous week’s weighted average basis Nebraska.
Boxed beef cutout values are significantly higher in the morning report.
