Cheese is now Wisconsin’s official state dairy product. Governor Scott Walker signed a bill into law at Mineral Point Elementary School Thursday morning designating cheese as the state’s official dairy product.
The 4th graders from Mineral Point presented the idea, lobbied legislators, and even testified before committees to give cheese its official status, all while learning how government works.
