April prices paid to Michigan farmers for corn, dry beans and milk were up from a year ago, but soybean and wheat prices were lower.
The USDA Monthly Price report says the average price received for corn increased four cents from March, but dropped eight cents from last year to $3.58 per bushel.
Dry bean prices in April averaged $34.70 per hundredweight, up $9.50 from 2016.
The state’s milk price was $15.40 per hundredweight, up $1.40 from last year.
