The United Dairy Industry of Michigan says they’re focusing a majority of promotional efforts for June Dairy Month in the southeast to educate about the state’s largest ag sector.
“We know that’s where 50 percent of our state’s population lives. There’s not many opportunities for those folks to visit farms or have that direct connection to farmers, so we’re taking events to them.”
Jolene Griffin with the checkoff tells Brownfield a mobile educational trailer will travel to different events during June throughout the region to highlight the nutritional benefits of dairy and Michigan’s industry.
