Process underway in Indiana to classify dicamba as RUP

The formal rule making process is underway to classify dicamba agricultural use pesticides as state Restricted Use Pesticides in Indiana.
The state Pesticide Rule Board has proposed any pesticide containing 6.5 percent or more of dicamba would be classified as restricted use.
There is no residue tolerance for dicamba on all food crops and last year 10 states reported damage from dicamba in parts of the Corn Belt and Mid-south. Indiana is the second largest producer of processing tomatoes and is a top 10 producer of several specialty crops.
