Packer inquiry remained very limited in cattle country on Wednesday afternoon with just a few bids reported in Nebraska at 209.00. Asking prices have yet to be well defined, although DTN heard of some Southern cattle priced around 134.00 to 135.00. The Fed cattle Exchange Auction listed a total of 2,067 head with 1,257 actually sold. The weighted average price on cattle for 1-9 day delivery was 132.24. Last week’s weighted average was 132.54 for the same delivery time.
