The USDA reports corn and soybean export inspections for the week ending May 25th were above what’s needed to meet USDA projections for the 2016/17 marketing year. The 2016/17 marketing year runs through May for wheat and August for corn, soybeans, and sorghum.
Wheat came out at 602,913 tons, down 71,646 from the week ending May 18th, but up 105,975 from the week ending May 26th, 2016. With the end of the 2016/17 marketing year approaching rapidly, wheat inspections are 27,031,777 tons, compared to 20,075,311 in 2015/16.
