Nebraska’s first corn condition rating of the season calls 76 percent of the crop good to excellent. As of Sunday, three-quarters of the corn had emerged, slightly behind the five-year average.
Soybean planting stood at 76 percent with soybean emergence at 35 percent, both a bit behind normal.
The winter wheat crop rated 47 percent good to excellent, 41 percent fair, and 12 percent poor to very poor.
Alfalfa first cutting was 25 percent complete and the crop rated 81 percent good to excellent.
