USDA says another cool, wet week in Indiana kept a number of producers from replanting and put some of what had emerged underwater. The state’s office of the National Agricultural Statistics service says cutworm remains a presence for corn.
As of Sunday, 81% of corn is planted, compared to the five year average of 90%, and 60% has emerged, compared to 73% on average. 43% of Indiana’s corn crop is in good to excellent shape, with another 40% called fair.
