New research shows more farmers are collecting ag data but not always using it for management decisions.
A survey of 700 Canadian farmers by Stratus Ag Research found more than two-thirds of growers collect production data, but more than half were not analyzing the information.
Stratus project manager Krista MacLean says it could be that data is collected simply because the technology exists with new equipment and farmers could still be catching up with the full use of the technology.
