An economist with Nebraska Farm Bureau says the struggling ag economy seems to be leveling off.
But Jay Rempe says it’s still too soon to say if a turnaround is imminent.
“I think there’s some signs out there that maybe things are getting close to that bottom, if we haven’t hit it already,” Rempe says. “I’m not ready to say that things are going to pick back up again—but maybe level off a little bit.”
Rempe says he sees a couple of positive factors at play.
