The ethanol advocacy group Growth Energy says drivers across the U.S. have now logged more than one billion miles on E15, the blend of 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent gasoline.
Using EPA data, the group also calculates the availability of E15 could save consumers up to 72 million dollars by the end of 2017. That’s because E15 is cheaper than E10, a dime a gallon less in most cases.
Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor says E15’s proven performance, environmental benefits and savings to consumers are all reasons why Congress should fix the Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) law.
