A Nebraska state senator says he plans to launch an initiative petition drive aimed at property tax relief.
Senator Steve Erdman of Bayard says he’s “done waiting” for the legislature to do something meaningful on the issue of property taxes.
Some potential allies, such as Nebraska Farm Bureau, say they want to hear what Erdman is proposing before joining his effort. Farm Bureau president Steve Nelson tells Brownfield they will wait to comment until after they’ve heard the details of Erdman’s plan.
