Morton Buildings becomes employee-owned

Illinois-based Morton Buildings, Inc. has become entirely employee-owned after more than 100 years as a family-owned company.
Marketing Manager Brian Haraf tells Brownfield the transition is not related to the current ag economy. “I think it’s more coincidence. This is a family-owned company where the owners were looking to make that transition out of the business being at the age they’re at, it’s been something we’ve been working on for a very long time.”
He says for the 1,700 employees, the announcement means security and longevity.
