The cool, wet spring has slowed down planting on University of Wisconsin research plots. Soybean expert Shawn Conley tells Brownfield they’re almost done planting now. “It’s going much better than most of the farmers across the State of Wisconsin. We have roughly 80-90 percent of all of our soybean plots in.”
Conley says like other farmers in eastern and southwestern Wisconsin, they are having progress slowed by weather and wet conditions.
