California Governor Jerry Brown has proposed cutting state support for the FFA program.
As part of his 2017-18 state budget, Brown proposes the complete elimination of funding for FFA and other programs in Career Technical Education serving students throughout California. The total dollars involved is 15 million.
FFA officials says the proposed halt in funding would limit and potentially put a stop to travel for leadership conferences and events such as the State FFA Convention.
