The USDA reports old crop corn and wheat exports for the week ending May 11th were above most pre-report estimates, while soybeans were within expectations. Physical shipments of corn and soybeans were above what’s needed to meet USDA projections for the 2016/17 marketing year. The 2016/17 marketing year runs through the end of May for wheat, the end of August for corn, soybeans, and sorghum, and the end of September for soybean products.
