Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue says investment in rural broadband is a key tenet to infrastructure development. “Rural broadband has become just as important as roads, river, water, and utilities of any sorts,” he says.
He tells Brownfield to rural communities can’t grow and develop without access to high speed internet. “If we’re going to keep bright young farm kids on the farm,” he says. “We’ve got to get them connectivity.”
And, he says, connectivity is vital for farming operations.
