2017 corn planting in Iowa has just about wrapped up.
The USDA says that as of Sunday, 85% of the crop is planted thanks to warm, dry conditions, which also helped emergence.
40% of soybeans are planted, also aided by the generally good weather conditions.
More than 80% of the state has adequate soil moisture and 82% of pastures and rangelands are in good to excellent condition.
