Legislation designed to help beginning farmers in Minnesota gain access to land is included in an omnibus tax bill passed by the House and Senate.
Minnesota Farmers Union (MFU) director of government relations Thom Petersen says his organization has been supporting this proposed income tax credit for ten years.
“Five percent if you sell to a beginning farmer (who’s) basically a farmer who has been operating for ten years or less.
