A bipartisan group of Senators are calling for continued support of the Farm Service Agency’s loan programs.
Twenty-eight Senators sent a letter to the Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture to maintain or increase funding for FSA loans at fiscal year 2017 levels.
The Senators say without FSA loans, some farmers would lack access to operating capital necessary to stay afloat during tough economic times and fear the Trump administration’s 2018 budget would severely impact farmers across the country.
