DTN reported scattered cattle sales were evident in parts of the North on Tuesday with one regional purchasing a few cattle at 225.00, as much as $5.00 lower than last week’s weighted average basis Nebraska. Private sources reported a few bids at 137.00 live in the South. Generally speaking though the cash market remained untested with more definition expected on both sides on Wednesday. Cattle slaughter was estimated at 115,000 head, 1,000 more than last week, and 2,000 above last year.
