Cool, wet weather kept a lot of Indiana’s farmers out of the field last week.
Rainfall ranged from one to five inches, leading to ponding and putting some of what had been planted underwater, and parts of the state even saw freezing overnight conditions.
51% of corn is planted, compared to the five year average of 43%, and 18% has emerged. 19% of soybeans are planted, compared to 17% on average.
