The United Soybean Board’s strategic plan through fiscal 2021 includes three target areas, according to Richard Joost, who manages supply research for the United Soybean Board. Focus, says Joost, is on the components of the soybean, including soybean meal. The primary customer of the U.S. soybean grower are producers of pork and poultry. He says there are properties to U.S. grown soybeans that make them especially beneficial for feeding poultry and hogs, a point that is repeated and made clear to both domestic and international customers.
