The coordinator of the Kansas Wheat Tour says in the 50 year plus history of the tour there has never been conditions like this year.
Dave Green, Executive Vice President of the Wheat Quality Council, tells Brownfield up to 20 inches of snow over the weekend has caused major damage to wheat in western Kansas. He says while the extent of losses are still unknown, the first day of the tour reported above average yields.
