Wisconsin’s International Agribusiness Center has a new director. Jack Heinemann joined the state’s Ag Department two weeks ago and tells Brownfield he wants to help develop additional markets for Wisconsin’s agricultural products. “What I want to do is help advance agriculture in the State of Wisconsin, build upon its strong reputation of having great ag products and a dairy industry and expand potential markets for other markets such as ginseng, cranberries, and so forth.”
Heinemann says he’s encouraged by how much interest was shown in Wisconsin products during a recent trade mission to China.
