A light to moderate cattle trade was evident in most areas on Wednesday. Live deals in the South are marked at mostly 145.00, generally 8.00 to 9.00 higher than last week. Dressed business in the North is around 230.00 to 231.00, about 13.00 higher than last week’s weighted average basis Nebraska. Trade volum4e is expected to continue to grow throughout the day and into tomorrow. The Wednesday kill totaled 114,000 head, 2,000 less than last week, but 5,000 greater than a year ago.
