Farmers can now run for the Ohio Small Grains Marketing Program board in three districts.
Growers in northwest and southwest Ohio are eligible to run for elections in District 1, 2 and 8. Petitions with at least 25 valid signatures from small grains producers in respective districts must be submitted to the Department of Agriculture by June 1st.
The Ohio Small Grains Marketing Program works to increase opportunities for wheat, barley, oat and rye producers including market development, promotion, research and education.
